Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy
In response to the challenges every company faces regarding environmental protection and sustainability, we at Inter-Metal are guided by several key principles aimed at reducing waste production and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions. Our production process is supported by comprehensive recycling schemes for post-production waste and the reprocessing of oils and lubricating fluids.
To ensure that our actions have a broader impact on environmental awareness, we have also introduced clear guidelines for the delivery of our goods. We have implemented an internal system for optimizing transport volumes, ensuring that shipments of finished products only occur once a certain quantity and weight threshold has been met. This approach helps us reduce vehicle emissions. By consolidating as many orders as possible into a single shipment, we strive to minimize the unnecessary kilometers traveled by couriers, further reducing our carbon footprint.
What may seem like a small and insignificant change today can, in the long term, have a huge positive impact. That is why we believe that every step, no matter how small, in caring for the environment is invaluable.
An additional focus of our corporate social responsibility efforts is our continuous support for young people and their aspirations for development in engineering fields. We actively participate in educational projects such as dual vocational education, school internships, and professional apprenticeships. Furthermore, we support student initiatives in technical disciplines by enabling them to pursue their passions through scientific clubs, such as the racing teams from the Wrocław and Gdańsk Universities of Technology, which annually participate in the Formula Student races.
Through these initiatives, we aim to not only protect the environment but also foster a new generation of engineers who will continue to innovate and contribute to a more sustainable future.
